Medieval bronze seal matrix depicting two deer – 15th century A singular medieval seal matrix made of bronze, with a quadrilobulated format, featuring a perforated integral rear handle for handling or suspension. The central field, bounded by a square frame, presents an attractive zoomorphic scene with two clearly represented deer, surrounded by four lobes with epigraphic characters and motifs. The impression produced by the matrix allows a particularly clear view of the original composition of the scene. Chronology attributed: 15th century A.D. Material: bronze / copper alloy. Measurements: 37 × 37 × 12 mm. Condition: good archaeological conservation, with dark patina, deposits and wear consistent with its age; rear handle preserved.
