Today we present you with a rarissime market opportunity: the complete and original trio of Ferrari 288 GTO (1984) edited in the late 2000s by prestigious manufacturer Hot Wheels Elite at 1/43 scale. Finding one of these variants is already a challenge for any enthusiast, but acquiring the complete triptych all in one lot is an achievement. These pieces have become extremely rare and highly sought after worldwide. Details of the 3 Included References (The Major Maranello Trio): The manufacturer’s sales range gathered the three emblematic shades of the Italian firm, perfectly presented here: 1. Reference P9928: Mythical variant "Rosso Corsa" (historic racing red). 2. Reference P9929: Flamboyant variant "Giallo Modena" (Yellow, official color of Modena). 3. Reference P9930: Dark and aggressive variant "Nero Daytona" (beautiful metallic black). History of the 1:1 Scale Myth: Ferrari 288 GTO (1984) The Ferrari GTO (commonly called 288 for its 2.8 liters and 8 cylinders) is a legendary car born in 1984. Initially conceived under Enzo Ferrari’s impulse to obtain rally Group B homologation, it required the production of at least 200 road units. In the end, only 272 units left the Maranello workshops, making it one of the most exclusive supercars in the world. Under its muscular lines designed by Pininfarina, which at first glance recall the 308 GTB but much broader and more aggressive, lay a technological monster. Replaced later in 1987 by the famous F40, the 288 GTO remains the first historic milestone of Ferrari’s modern hypercar lineage (GTO, F40, F50, Enzo, LaFerrari). The few 1:1 scale units today exchange hands at prestige auctions for staggering sums ranging from 4 million to well over 9 million euros. Technical Excellence of the Hot Wheels Elite Replica: The Mattel "Elite" range stood out from classic series for an exceptional level of finesse. These die-casts pay vibrant homage to the engineering of the real car: • Visible engine architecture: Through the rear transparent grille, one can see the meticulous reproduction of the famous 2,855 cm³ 90° V8 engine mounted mid-rear longitudinally. • Induction details: The paintwork and engraving honor the two IHI turbochargers paired with Behr intercoolers, which allowed the real car to develop 400 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and surpass 305 km/h. • Exterior finishes: The famous three cooling vents behind the rear wheels (a nod to its ancestor the 250 GTO of 1922), the iconic tall, oval-shaped mirrors of the 1984 model, the recessed front headlights, and Speedline wheels with a center nut mounted on broad Goodyear rubber tires faithfully reproduced. A Pristine Condition: "Strictly Mint in Box" & Untouched This premium lot comes from the private collection of a mature, dedicated admirer of the prancing horse. The care given to its preservation guarantees impeccable quality: • Zero exposure: The die-casts have never been exposed to daylight (zero UV), dust, or handling, preserving the original paint luster. • Clean environment: Stored in a strictly non-smoking environment. • Factory Sealed intact: Each box is perfectly untouched. The original Mattel circular sealing stickers are all in place on the side flaps, marking the absolute virginity of each piece. • Unpacking exception: The miniatures have never left their box, except for the exclusive and unique purpose of producing the contract photos for this sale. They have been handled with gloves and immediately returned to their display case. • Pristine showroom condition: The cardboard boxes, black display stands, and plexiglass domes (crystal) have no cracks, chips, or rubbing. The condition is STRICTLY NEW. Very Important Note About the Photos: The detailed photos in this listing are proof of the strictly new and flawless condition of the miniatures and their boxes. Please note that some whitish reflections or light lines visible in the images are solely due to light refraction during photography (plexiglass reflections). They are in no way defects, scratches, paint alterations, or fading. Professional High-Security Shipping: Aware of the value and fragility of this mint-in-box triptych, the seller guarantees packaging up to the highest standards: • Maximum protection: Each miniature box is individually wrapped in thick bubble film. • Enhanced padding: The set is carefully cushioned with polystyrene beads inside a new double-wall rigid carton, ensuring absolutely no movement or crushing during transport. • Full international tracking: Ultra-fast shipping with an international tracking number, signature on delivery, and insurance adequate to the final auction value. Don’t miss this exceptional lot: reconstructing such a set in this conservation state is nearly impossible today. Good luck to all bidders!
