【Title】 Vintage Japanese Hand-Carved Wooden Aka-Oni Mask – Dramatic Horned Red Demon Wall Sculpture with Gold Teeth for Japandi Interior 【Description】 An extraordinarily expressive vintage hand-carved wooden Japanese mask (Omen), portraying a Aka-Oni (Red Demon spirit / Oni-jin), traditional guardian and fierce spirit from Japanese folklore. Iconography & Artisanal Craftsmanship: Fierce Demon Features: Carved from solid timber with large, swept-back horns, intensely furrowed brows, and an open grinning jaw lined with gold-painted fangs and teeth. Striking Pigment & Lacquer: Accented with bold red pigment painted across the nose, cheeks, and forehead, contrasting dramatically with the naturally aged greyish-brown timber base. Sculptural Depth: Highly dimensional carving with deep contours around the eyes and mouth, creating vivid shadows when mounted under ambient interior lighting. Contemporary Interior Display: With its commanding theatrical presence and classic Japanese iconography, this horned mask serves as an exceptional focal sculpture for modern Japandi living rooms, eclectic art walls, or Asian art collections. 【Condition】 Exhibits fine, authentic vintage condition with honest age-related character. Shows light surface pigment rubbing, minor chipping along the tips of the horns, and natural wood drying texture. Structurally sound and fitted with a cord for wall display. Please inspect all detailed high-resolution photographs prior to bidding. 【Period】 Circa 1960s–1970s (Mid to Late Showa Period)
