Maryse Coin (1957) - Le messager du printemps -Huile-

My name is Maryse Coin, born in 1957, I am a self-taught French artist living in Niort (79). Passionate about color and texture, I explore different styles ranging from abstract expressionism, action painting, to highly realistic academic painting. I use various media: acrylic, oil, collage. My works are in private collections, notably in Europe, the United States and Morocco. I have participated in numerous Exhibitions and Salons: Deauville, Paris, Perpignan. Marrakech, Florence, Bellano. The work is signed by the artist at the bottom right: M. Coin, as well as on the back. Shipping: The painting will be well protected and shipped by Colissimo. An authenticity certificate will be included in the package. Colors may differ slightly due to capture by each camera device during shooting. Consult the painting description and its measurements to identify the exact size. This superb figurative painting presents a barn swallow perched delicately on a fine branch with great finesse. The contrast between the iridescent bluish tones of the plumage, the warm red-orange throat, and the subtly graded background brings a soft, lively, and poetic atmosphere to the work. This painting was created using the traditional and demanding oil painting technique in successive layers (or glazing): An initial sketch establishes the volumes, light, and the bird’s structure as well as the branch composition. Each layer of oil requires a strict drying time before applying the next (fat over lean). This allows the color to be layered without compromising the precision of the line. The upper layers enable extremely fine details of the plumage, the light reflections on the blue-black back of the swallow, and the organic texture of the bark. Thanks to this classical technique, light penetrates through the various layers of paint, offering exceptional depth, luminous colors, and great durability.
