Original vintage mirror/signboard of the famous Anglo-Belgian beer advertising brand John Martin’s. At the beginning of the 20th century, the Englishman John Martin left England to move to Belgium, to Antwerp, where he founded the John Martin’s brewery and the company that still bears his name today. He began importing directly from England in oak barrels the classic English beer, combining English tradition with Belgian know-how. He was also the first importer of Guinness from Ireland (1912). Following John’s death the brewery came under the control first of his sons and then of his grandson Antony. Martin’s was always very attentive to the propagation of its products, until it created the first advertising agency in Belgium in 1921, creating a sea-themed brand, very dear to John Martin’s. This mirror dating from the 70s/80s is a rare piece, as it is no longer produced by the company. Ideal for collectors. The mirror is in excellent condition, with light signs of wear of time on the wooden frame, visible in the photos. Dimensions: width 37 cm, height 48 cm, depth 2 cm.
