We present the Marlen San Pietro Collection The Basilica of Saint Peter in Vatican City is the largest of Rome’s papal basilicas. Many architects and artists took turns directing the work, from Bramante, to Michelangelo who designed the daring dome, to Bernini who created the square in front of the Basilica. This collection aims to pay homage to the majesty of this human achievement and includes a Prestige model fountain pen and roller, and a Deluxe fountain pen, which differ only in size. For all versions, the body and cap are made of white/ivory celluloid with Italian mother-of-pearl resin inserts in red and beige; solid silver rings mark the color divisions, and the clip is in vermeil. The clip represents Moses’ staff, in vermeil silver. On the central band, in silver, there is a perspectival design of Saint Peter’s Square with the basilica in the background. The cap’s final ring bears the start and end dates of the work, in Roman numerals, and the inscription Marlen Italy.
