Mario Bellini - Olivetti - Model "Lettera 35" + Black ABS...

Rediscover the Authentic Flavor of Writing with an Icon of Italian Design! Imagine slowing down the digital rhythm of every day, hearing the relaxing mechanical clack of the keys, and watching your ideas take shape on paper with the unmistakable character of a real Olivetti Lettera 35. Designed in 1972 by the celebrated design maestro Mario Bellini, the Lettera 35 was born as the professional, elegant mechanical successor to the famous Lettera 32, conceived to offer a solid, precise, and indestructible typing experience. Its sand-colored, compact case and clean lines make it a perfect piece of interior design, suitable for both a modern studio and an era-inspired environment. This exemplar is presented in excellent preserved condition: it comes complete with its original black ABS rigid carrying case for transport and its period documents. An unmissable opportunity for collectors, vintage enthusiasts, and lovers of analytical and authorial writing! Founded in Ivrea in 1908 by Camillo Olivetti, the Italian house has been a global reference for technological innovation, industrial design, and the perfect synthesis between engineering and aesthetic beauty. Among the most renowned Italian architects and designers in the world, Bellini is a winner of 8 Compassi d'Oro. Bellini oversaw the design of Olivetti products from the 1960s and 70s (including masterpieces like the Divisumma 18 and the Programma 101 computer). With the Lettera 35, Bellini sought to give the portable typewriter a look that was more solid and compact than previous models, enclosing the mechanism in a protective aluminum shell with a shaped form. The typewriters designed by Mario Bellini for Olivetti are featured in the permanent collections of the world's most prestigious design museums, including New York's MoMA (Museum of Modern Art). Dimensions Case: about 13x36x37 cm Machine dimensions: about 10x32x35 Good condition, shows small signs of use and age; please view the photo gallery. I recommend replacing the ribbons and a small tune-up for everyday use.
