Mario Badioli - I Volti

Mario Badioli – Unique Masterpiece in Murano Glass "Volto Picasso" (1990) | 4.5 kg of Pure Art Glass In the auction, an extraordinary contemporary art sculpture signed by the renowned glassmaster Mario Badioli, dating from 1990. This is a one-of-a-kind piece that perfectly embodies the unmistakable "Picassian" style of the master: an explosion of color, shapes and three-dimensionality that transforms Murano glass into a living, magnetic work of art. An impactful piece with a strong presence: weighing a substantial 4.5 kg and standing 27 cm tall, this bust has a visual majesty rarely seen, capable of immediately becoming the focal point of any room or collection. The contrast between the sinuous lines of the black and white hair and the brightness of the face – enhanced by golden/yellow reflections and vivid details such as the intense blue eyes and scarlet lips – creates extraordinary plays of light when exposed to a direct light source. The work is hand-signed by the artist on the base with a diamond-tipped mark ("Badioli") and still bears the original adhesive sticker from the glassworks. The piece is in excellent condition, carefully preserved over the years, ready to join a prestigious private collection or to enrich a high-end design interior. The goods are shipped within the European Union, and buyers outside the EU will be required to pay taxes and customs duties in accordance with the law. If the winning bidder decides to cancel/withdraw, they must bear the risks and costs of all shipments and import duties for the return, to be charged to the seller.
