Vintage silver 800 tableware - 12 coasters Mario Agostini (307 FI) and 1 contemporaneous bottle coaster - Italy, circa 1960 Refined vintage dining set consisting of 13 pieces in 800 silver: twelve coordinating coasters and a large bottle coaster. The 12 coasters were entirely crafted in Florence by the renowned silversmith Mario Agostini (mark 307 FI), workshop registered in March 1957, and they are distinguished by the finely embossed wavy edge with scrolls. The large bottle coaster, of a slightly different shape but perfectly contemporary and harmonious in design, features a shell motif alternating with small spheres; the related silver mark is currently illegible due to time, but the piece tests as 800 silver. A set of great presence for twelve people. • 12 Coasters: Mario Agostini — Identifying mark 307 FI (Florence) • 1 Bottle coaster: Italian silversmith not identifiable (mark worn/illegible) Total weight of the lot: 150 grams Excellent vintage condition. Note the difference in craftsmanship and hallmark between the small pieces and the large piece (please view carefully the photo gallery) they require professional polishing.
