Title: Manuel Vicente Mora (Madrid, 1924) - View of Calle del Codo, Madrid - Oil on panel Description: An attractive oil painting on wooden panel by the renowned Madrilenian painter and illustrator Manuel Vicente Mora (Madrid, b. 1924). This artwork captures one of the most iconic and picturesque perspectives of old Madrid (Madrid de los Austrias): the narrow "Calle del Codo" framing the monumental 16th-century architecture of the Casa de Cisneros, located in the historic Plaza de la Villa. The artist showcases his mastery in urban costumbrista painting through an excellent command of perspective, a beautiful play of light and shadow between the buildings, and a warm, ochre-toned color palette highly characteristic of his work. • Artist: Manuel Vicente Mora (Madrid, 1924) • Medium: Oil on panel (wooden board) • Period: Second half of the 20th century • Signature: Hand-signed by the artist in the lower right corner ("M. Vicente Mora"). • Support: Solid wood panel with back beveling. The reverse displays old cataloging/auction lot handwritten inscriptions ("1716 P" and registration number "324750"). • Condition: Excellent condition, both the paint layer and the wooden panel. • Frame: Included. A magnificent, robust classic molded wooden frame in black with an inner gold fillet, which greatly enhances the depth of the scene. • Dimensions: [Insert dimensions here, e.g., 24 x 18 cm] (panel) / [Insert dimensions here, e.g., 45 x 39 cm] (with frame). An ideal piece for collectors of Spanish painting, Madrid cityscapes, and 20th-century urban landscape art. The artwork will be shipped perfectly packed, protected, and with a tracking number.
