His artistic evolution has led him from painting to sculpture. His pieces are not molded, but built from found objects that he hardly ever alters. Rusted irons, rings, hinges, or remnants of field tools coexist with stones from different origins: stones from the Sahara hamada, volcanic stones from the island of Gran Canaria, and river pebbles. Solà combines them little by little, without a prior scheme, until the form appears. Thus arise figures with an archaic air, influenced by ancient Greek sculpture, that speak of memory, migration and a return to origins. He is currently represented by the Espai Art60 gallery in Sant Joan de les Abadesses, Girona, Spain.
