Louis XVI period freestanding pendulum clock (late 18th century), elegantly combining Carrara white marble with rich, chiselled and gilded bronze ornaments. The white enamel dial indicates the hours in Roman numerals and the minutes in Arabic numerals. It bears the prestigious signature of the King’s clockmaker: "Festeau à Paris" (Simon-François Festeau, master clockmaker since 1750) • Style: Louis XVI / Neoclassical. • Materials: White marble, columns and fittings in gilded bronze/brass (floral case at the top, laurel garlands, draperies, draped capitals). • Dial: White enamel (presence of a small chip near the central axis, visible in the photos). • Movement: Period mechanism with pendulum suspension. One piece is missing at the top right in the photo. A very decorative antique piece, ideal for a classic interior, a fireplace, or a collection.
