Manifattura italiana-Tipo Lenci - Doll Ciociara-Popolana - 1930-1940 - Europe

Fascinating and rare antique doll from the period (1930s / 1940s) made of felted cloth and pressed felt in the style of the famous Lenci workshop in Turin. Features: - Face modeled in cloth with finely hand-painted facial features (blue eyes with expressive gaze, open mouth). - Traditional regional costume (Ciociara / Popolana) consisting of a black bodice with red thread lacing, fringed shawl, green felt circle skirt with applied bands, typical footwear (calzari/ciocie) and a large original hoop earring. - Body entirely in fabric, stuffed, with fingers sewn on the outside. Condition of the item: Antique doll, preserved in the original state in which it was found: - Shows natural patina of time and dust. - Small moth holes in the felt of the skirt and fraying/wear marks on some ribbons and fabric finishes. - The fabrics should be cleaned with appropriate products to remove dust without damaging the doll. - Please refer to all attached photographs, which show in detail every side and the actual condition and are an integral part of the description.
