Pair of Art Deco armchairs, dating from the 1930s–1940s, characterized by an entirely wooden frame with geometric and architectural shapes. The chairs feature wide, solid side panels that continue forming the armrests through a continuous curved profile. The high backs are made with large wooden panels characterized by a pronounced decorative grain, echoed also on the side surfaces. The frame is crafted in wood with figured walnut veneer surfaces, laid out to enhance their natural color variations and grain. The lower part is finished with dark contrasting elements. The seats are upholstered and covered in a fabric with a floral and botanical pattern, in tones of beige, green, blue and brown. The pair retains a pleasant patina of age, with scratches, small abrasions, finish variations and other normal signs of use visible in the photographs. These characteristics are consistent with age and have been preserved without altering the original appearance of the furnishings. The two armchairs share the same construction and form a coordinated pair.
