A refined and scenographic decorative cup in natural solid malachite, of substantial size (44 cm in length, 5 cm in thickness), finely hand-polished on the top and left rough on the back to highlight the mineral's crystalline structure. Malachite is valued for its concentric bands and green waves that create a hypnotic and unique effect on each piece. Probable provenance: Democratic Republic of the Congo, Katanga region – one of the best-known areas for collectible malachite of high quality. This specimen, thanks to its large size and meticulous polishing, is well-suited as a decorative object (centerpiece, trinket dish, display sculpture) as well as a collectible mineral piece.
