The artwork depicts a solitary human figure seen from behind, intent on walking toward a vortex of light at the center of an imposing material tunnel shaped by dense brushstrokes in tones of deep red and cobalt blue. The sculptural silhouette emerges with a marked physical and three-dimensional presence from the stone matter, creating a vibrant plastic contrast between the stationary condition of the wanderer and the rotational impulse of the stratified surface that envelops him. The precious veins in gold that traverse the marble surface, the composition and the frame represent an explicit reference to the secular art of Kintsugi, highlighting the value of cracks to symbolize the beauty of vulnerability, the search for infinity and the ennoblement of the inner journey through the fractures of existence. It should be noted that the work is not a true bas-relief in marble or a three-dimensional physical sculpture, but the visual effect of a 2D canvas studied to offer an optical illusion of exceptional depth and tactile relief. An artwork for collection, where the archetype of inner exploration meets the rigor of classical sculpture and the philosophy of imperfection.
