This vintage cotton fabric, measuring 140 cm in width by 530 cm in length, represents a piece of great prominence in the Scandinavian interior design landscape. It is a creation of the renowned Swedish designer Sven Fristedt, produced by the historic Swedish manufacturer Borås Wäfveri AB. The signature printed along the selvage attests to its historical authenticity and guarantees the high-quality standards typical of Swedish textile production of the last century, renowned for its attention to raw materials and the precision of printing processes. The fiber in pure cotton stands out for a tight, substantial weave and exceptional structural stability, features that offer high resistance to wear over time and a drape that is supported yet striking. The printing technique reveals extraordinary definition and durable color saturation. The design combines organic and stylized fruit motifs in sun yellow and pink with vivid green leaf blocks that recall painterly brushstrokes, all overlaid on a fine white geometric lattice on an extremely light gray background. The robust texture of the yarn and the availability of over five meters of continuous cut allow multiple applications in furniture and craft contexts. The fabric is ideal for creating long, vertically expansive drapes, wall-ready decorative panels, structured bedspreads or tablecloths for large gatherings. The cotton weight also makes it optimal for light upholstery projects, such as covering seat cushions for chairs and small armchairs, outdoor-protected cushions, or for tailoring structured fashion accessories like bags and travel pouches with a strong graphic impact.
