Private letter A.S. “Marshal MAGNAN” Paris, August 11, 1863. 1 p., in-8°. “My Dear President. To my great regret, I was unable to attend yesterday’s wedding blessing for your daughter. As I do every year, I was attending the award ceremony for the major competition at noon. Thank you for thinking of me: I took great interest in the wedding of your dear daughter, and my best wishes go out to her in her new home.
