Splendid lot of three antique manual grinding tools (coffee, cereals and spices) dating from the first half of the nineteenth century. The objects belong to the Rural Folk Art category: they are unique pieces entirely handmade by local artisans and blacksmiths, not mass-produced industrially (complete absence of brand marks). Details of the pieces: Coffee grinder for shop, center: Sturdy solid-wood structure with beautiful irregular dovetails cut by hand. Impressive upper-beam mechanism in wrought iron. Grain mill (Left): Wood structure with manual dovetail joints and a deep flared iron hopper for large grains. Spice/pepper grinder (Right): Slim vertical structure on a dark wood base, with a cup-shaped hopper and a side crank. Condition: The objects are in original 'first patina' condition, never restored or stripped. The wood shows the beautiful signs of time. Note of great collecting value: all internal mechanisms and cranks are free, smooth and perfectly functional.
