M. Sahyoun (XX) - Aquarius

Expressive Portrait (70 x 80 cm) Michael Sahyoun (contemporary Belgian artist) “Aquarius”. Original painting (unique piece) Technique: mixed media Acrylic on canvas Stretched on wood stretcher bars (secured on the back, reinforced by a central cross). Can be hung directly without an additional frame. Hand-signed at the bottom right on the front side ("m. Sahyoun"). Very good condition Powerful, emotionally profound portrait of the well-known contemporary autodidact Michael Sahyoun. The painting captivates with its radical, monochrome palette in black, white, and gray, kept in the style of abstract expressionism. Particularly striking are the dynamic brushstrokes, the expressive dripping technique (running color noses), and the white zigzag symbol representing the zodiac sign Aquarius. A single, thickly applied brushstroke in luminous cobalt blue breaks the monochrome at the chest area and serves as a fascinating, spiritual focal point. Michael Sahyoun is an artist living and working in Belgium; his mostly figuratively-abstract works and melancholic portraits have already been successfully presented at solo and group exhibitions in Brussels (including Harmon House). His art deeply engages with the human psyche, identity, and inner emotional states. Will be securely packaged and shipped with tracking
