For *Louis Mizon* (actually *Luis Mizón*, 1942-2023): He is a Chilean poet, novelist, painter and translator naturalized French, born January 22, 1942 in Valparaíso. After studies in history and law and a thesis on Saint-John Perse, he taught at the University of Valparaíso. Following Pinochet's coup in 1973, he went into exile and arrived in France in 1974, where he worked as a journalist at France-Culture. Discovered and translated by Roger Caillois and then Claude Couffon, he published about thirty collections (*Poème du Sud* chez Gallimard, *Passage des nuages*...), novels and essays. A figure of the Printemps des Poètes, he lived between Paris and Draguignan, where he died in late December 2022, with a tribute paid in early January 2023.
