This acrylic-on-canvas work belongs to contemporary figurative art with influences from Art Deco and fashion illustration, presenting the stylized frontal portrait of a platinum-blonde woman calmly holding a black-and-white cat in her arms. The composition stands out for its refined sense of design and graphic contrast, where a striped-pattern kimono and loose brushstrokes in ochre, black, and white are balanced with the elegance of the deep red background, adorned with delicate gold traces that form floral lily filigree; through an elongated anatomy, delicate features, clean contours, and a wise use of golden shine, the piece evokes an atmosphere of sophistication, Orientalist distinction, and serene complicity.
