All auctions / Contemporary Art / Luca Cartoonist - It’s just PIKA (Resin artwork)
Polished resin artwork, with a glossy finish measuring 70x50x4 cm. The work comes directly from the artist's studio, in perfect condition. The entire painting has been handmade with acrylic paint on a comic collage applied to canvas, and coated with resin on the entire painting, giving the piece that glossy plasticized look that will protect the colors over time. It is a unique original piece, not in a series, and will arrive ready to hang at home, i.e. framed. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. Shipped with Brt courier, delivery in 24-48 working hours (Italy). The work is hand-signed on the front and back. On my social pages Luca.Cartoonist you can view all of my works. Luca Cartoonist, registered name Luca Angelini, born 1986, is an emerging artist in the world of pop art. Always passionate about comics (Disney foremost), he graduated in advertising graphics at the Art Institute of Ascoli Piceno and then completed his artistic studies with a degree in comics and illustration at the Bologna Academy of Fine Arts. Drawing and painting will continue to be part of his life despite a different professional path (though always artistic), until 2020, when, during the pandemic, he decides to fully enter the world of pop art. He mainly represents characters from the cartoon/comics world, adapting and placing them in contemporary situations, often using pop icons from yesterday and today. He mainly uses acrylic paints, spray cans, and mixed techniques of printing and collage on canvas. Since 2021 he has collaborated with several Italian art galleries, participating with his works in events such as ArtParmafair, BAF, and some group shows (MilanoFashion & Art, Espressioni d'artista…). You can follow his work on Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook pages "luca.cartoonist".
