Lovely High Quality Unique Size Lush Pile Shirvan-Kazak Rug. Made of all natural, vegetable dye, hand woven, finest worsted wool pile on cotton foundation. The art of carpet weaving in the Karabak, Shiravan territory is undoubtedly influenced by a number of objective factors, among them the geographical location of this region, at the joint of the east and the west. Here, along the greater Caucasus ridge, lies the borderline between Asia and Europe. Here is the historical juxtaposition point between Islamic and Christian cultures. Many long caravans passed through this territory over the centuries up until the middle of 20th century. Charming and happy colors are one of the characteristic of Shirvan Rugs. Size: 5 feet X 3 feet. Country of Origin: Karabak.
