Lorenzo Quinn (1966) - Génesis - La Creación

Sculpture - Genesis Pendant ‘Thursday, The Creation’ - Lorenzo Quinn (1966) Material: Bronze. With certificate of authenticity. This was a jewelry edition of some of his most well-known sculptures. As you may know, the artist attached a text to each of his sculptures: “ I imagine that my own birth will take place on a Thursday. the two faces Represented are those of my mother and father. the hands of the father and the mother are the symbols of the family: the parents who protect their beloved. I am represented by the embryo, protected by its parents. The hands form a circle, to represent the eternal bond that has formed between the members of the family. The symbolism of the egg is double. fold: it protects us from many difficulties, but the open sides leave us vulnerable to others. This part of the Genesis series of seven pieces explains my growth, not only in the physical sense, but more importantly, psychologically.” Lorenzo Quinn Shipped in Lorenzo Quinn’s original box via UPS, insured and with tracking.
