LOREM (1999) - Sans titre

CATAWIKI EXCLUSIVITY Very rare on the market Original work by the artist LOREM, created with black acrylic marker on a gray wooden board, in a black US shipping crate. Size 55 x 55 cm Fast and protected shipping. Unique and original work. LOREM is one of the most striking rising figures in French street art. A young urban artist, he transforms abandoned street objects — mirrors, doors, furniture or panels — into unique works, giving a second life to what the city neglects. His work blends spontaneous drawing, recycling, and visual poetry in a process where art becomes accessible to all. Inspired by artists such as Keith Haring, Invader, or Jean Dubuffet, LOREM develops a graphic language that is instantly recognizable, composed of characters, symbols, and his iconic split face. Each creation tells a story while inviting the public to look at their surroundings with a fresh perspective. His approach is based on sharing: after creating his works on recovered objects, he places them back into the public space and reveals their locations on social media, turning the city into an open-air gallery and each discovery into a real treasure hunt. This original approach has helped him build a large community and establish himself as one of the most-followed urban artists of his generation. At only 25 years old, LOREM embodies a new generation of artists for whom the street is at once a studio, a testing ground, and a place to meet the public. His universe, at the crossroads of street art, graphic design, and upcycling, renews the codes of contemporary art with a creative energy clearly oriented toward the future.
