Through the transparent case back, the automatic Longines L602.2 calibre is visible. ────────────────── Basic information Brand: Longines Collection: Master Collection Reference: L2.708.4 Estimated year of manufacture: circa 2005–2010 Diameter: 38.5 mm Case material: stainless steel Dial: silver-toned guilloché Movement: mechanical automatic Caliber: Longines L602.2 Functions: hours, minutes, central second, date and power reserve Back: transparent case back Bracelet: stainless steel Longines bracelet Clasp: Longines-signed deployant clasp Wrist size: approx. 18 cm ────────────────── Important details This L2.708.4 stands out within the Master Collection for the combination of a classic guilloché dial and a mechanical power-reserve indicator. The large black Arabic numerals, together with the blued hands, contribute to the recognizable classic look of the Master Collection. The power-reserve indicator is placed in a recessed section at 6 o’clock and indicates how much mainspring power the mechanical movement still has available. At 3 o’clock there is a separate date window. The watch is fitted on a stainless steel Longines bracelet with alternating polished and brushed surfaces. ────────────────── Construction year estimate Estimated year of manufacture: circa 2005–2010 The L2.708.4 belongs to an earlier generation of the Longines Master Collection and is equipped with the L602.2 caliber. This combination is consistent with specimens from the latter half of the 2000s. Without dated documentation, an estimated production period of circa 2005–2010 is therefore assumed for this specimen. ────────────────── Case The round case is made of stainless steel and has the classic design characteristic of the Master Collection. Diameter: 38.5 mm Material: stainless steel Finish: predominantly high-gloss polished Bezel: smooth and polished Crown: Longines-signed Back: transparent The case has slim, gently curved lugs and a relatively narrow polished bezel, allowing a large portion of the front to be dominated by the dial. The polished surfaces show light hairlines and minor signs of wear that are appropriate for normal use. There are no significant heavy damages. ────────────────── Dial The silver-toned dial features a fine guilloché pattern and forms one of the most recognizable elements of this version. Dial color: silver/white Finish: fine guilloché pattern Hour markings: large black Arabic numerals Hour hand: blued Minute hand: blued Central seconds hand: blued Date: window at 3 o’clock Power reserve: indicator at 6 o’clock Minute track: separate scale along the outer edge Inscription: Longines and Automatic Origin mark: Swiss Made The blued hands, depending on the light, give a color ranging from very dark blue to pale steel blue. The recessed power-reserve indicator at 6 o’clock has a fan-shaped scale and its own blued pointer. The dial presents very neatly and the numbers, scales, and inscriptions appear sharp and well-kept. ────────────────── Power reserve indicator A key feature of this Master Collection is the mechanical power-reserve indicator at 6 o’clock. This indicator shows how much energy remains in the mainspring of the automatic movement. While wearing and by manually winding the watch, the mainspring is re-tensioned, after which the indicator displays the available power reserve again. The power-reserve function adds not only extra functionality to this model but also serves as a striking visual element of the dial. ────────────────── Movement Caliber: Longines L602.2 Type: mechanical automatic Frequency: 28,800 alternations per hour Functions: hours, minutes, central second, date and power-reserve indication Power reserve: approx. 42 hours The automatic movement is visible through the transparent case back. The rotor bears the designation L602.2 and Longines branding. The visible parts of the movement are decoratively finished, in keeping with the classical positioning of the Master Collection. ────────────────── Crown The knurled crown features the Longines winged hourglass logo. The crown’s shape and polished finish align well with the classic case and provide ample grip for setting and manual winding. ────────────────── Back The case features a transparent back, allowing the automatic movement to be seen. Around the viewing window are, among other things, the inscriptions The Longines Master Collection, All Stainless Steel, Water-Resistant and Swiss Made. Through the glass back the rotor and parts of the mechanical L602.2-caliber are visible. On the polished steel edge of the case back there are light signs of wear and hairlines. ────────────────── Stainless steel bracelet The watch is equipped with a stainless steel Longines bracelet with multiple links. The center portions of the links have a brushed finish, while other parts are polished, creating a subtle contrast between matte and shiny surfaces. The bracelet shows light to normal signs of wear and some superficial scratches and hairlines. The current wrist size is approx. 18 cm. ────────────────── Clasp The steel bracelet features a Longines-signed deployant clasp. On the clasp are both the Longines name and the winged hourglass logo. The polished parts of the clasp show a few fine scratches and hairlines consistent with regular use. ────────────────── Water resistance This version originally came with a water resistance of around 3 bar / 30 meters. With a used watch, the original water resistance cannot be guaranteed without a recent pressure test. ────────────────── Condition Case: good used condition with light hairlines and minor signs of wear Bezel: light signs of use on the polished finish Dial: very good condition Crystal: good condition Hands: blued and well-kept Crown: Longines-signed Back: transparent, with light signs of wear on the steel rim Movement: automatic Longines L602.2 Bracelet: stainless steel Longines bracelet with light to normal signs of wear Clasp: Longines-signed deployant clasp Wrist size: approx. 18 cm ────────────────── Overall condition A well-kept Longines Master Collection L2.708.4 with a diameter of 38.5 mm and a particularly elegant classic configuration. The silver guilloché dial, large black Arabic numerals, and blued hands give the watch the distinctive look of early Master Collection. The power-reserve indicator at 6 o’clock is both technically and visually the distinguishing element of this version, while the date window at 3 o’clock adds daily convenience. The polished stainless steel case and bracelet show light to normal signs of use, mainly in the form of fine scratches and hairlines. The dial and glass present themselves neatly. The transparent back reveals the automatic Longines L602.2-caliber.
