Decorative tapestry made on fabric, with high-definition artistic print inspired by Masonic tradition, sacred geometry and initiatory symbolism linked to construction, measurement and universal order. The composition presents itself as a complex symbolic and architectural tableau. At the top, two hands emerge from the clouds and grip a large compass opened to the firmament, outlining in thought the proportions of a universe in order. In the center a luminous source shines, surrounded by stars, heavenly bodies, orbits and celestial diagrams, while at the bottom a solemn classical temple rises, accompanied by geometric studies, architectural elevations and measuring instruments. The compass, the protagonist of the work, takes on here a particularly deep meaning: it is the tool through which chaos is brought back to order, space is measured and the idea takes shape. In the Masonic symbolic language it recalls discipline, measurement and humanity’s ability to govern its actions within principles of balance and harmony. The hands guiding it from above amplify the meaning of the scene, evoking metaphorically the idea of the Great Architect, the ordering principle that arranges the cosmos according to proportion and geometry. The light placed at the center of the firmament thus becomes the origin and reference point: a source toward which science, knowledge and initiatory quest converge. The temple placed in the central portion represents the translation of ideal order into matter. Columns, proportions and elevations suggest that every external construction can also be read as an allegory of an inner construction: the Temple is not only a building, but the image of the individual who, through study, discipline and awareness, works progressively on himself. The lower part of the work further enriches this language through books, squares, rulers, drawing instruments, plumb lines and geometric schemes. Each element recalls the concepts of measurement, rectitude, proportion and method, transforming the entire composition into a kind of symbolic working table, where architecture, astronomy and knowledge seem to belong to a single grand design. Particularly evocative is the dialogue between sky and Temple: above, the cosmos governed by orbits and geometries; below, the architecture built according to the same principles. The work thus suggests a correspondence between universal order and the perfection of man, between what is contemplated in the heavens and what is built in the earthly realm. The warm tone of the tapestry, rendered with an elegant effect, gives the image an antique, solemn and archival appearance, reminiscent of a precious table of symbolic architecture or a ritual document safeguarded through time. The contrast between the luminous zones and the deep dark firmament makes the compass, the Temple and the multitude of graphic details especially scenographic. The high-definition artistic print enhances the complexity of the work: hatchings, perspective lines, diagrams, architectural elements, instruments and constellations are accurately defined, offering a reading rich in details even up close.
