A face of a nun captured from a low angle, against a royal blue sky. Impeccable wimple, black veil, porcelain skin… and bright red lips, shiny, slightly parted eyes with a half-closed gaze that is far from pious. Le Yack plays here with the imagery of movie posters and vintage pin-ups to sign a pop icon, frontal and insolent. The contrast is total: the rigor of the habit against the provocation of the gesture. A strong piece that leaves no one indifferent — meant to be the starting point of conversations. Le Yack, emerging French pop and street art artist. Alexandre Pelletier, known as Le Yack, was born in 1972 in Tours. During his studies, he joined the École Supérieure d'Art et de Design (ESAD) of Orléans. He is an art director in publishing and on the web. Instagram @leyack45.
