Curiosity Objects - Natural Science — An element that unites nature and craftsmanship, capable of evoking the spirit of ancient Renaissance Wunderkammern. The specimen consists of a large exoskeleton of a sea urchin (Echinus esculentus), whose mother-of-pearl, speckled surface reveals the geometric perfection typical of echinoderms. The tones, ranging from cream to purple, create a suggestive chromatic effect, enhancing its natural sculptural structure. The urchin is artistically mounted on a turned wooden base, with solid and elegant lines, recalling the aesthetic of period museum supports. To complete the composition, a refined brass element with a patinated finish, which lends the piece an antique and collectible character. This naturalistic artifact, transformed into art by an arrangement that enhances its rarity. Perfect for studies, living rooms, or exhibition spaces, it represents a piece of furniture capable of uniting scientific wonder with aesthetic refinement, just as in the collections of great travelers and scholars of the past.
