LAFARGUE (Jacqueline). Victor Hugo. Drawings and Wash Drawin - Lot 171

LAFARGUE (Jacqueline). Victor Hugo. Drawings and Wash Drawings. Paris, Éditions Hervas, in collaboration with Éditions Henri Scrépel, n.d. Large quarto, publisher’s binding with illustrated dust jacket. ISBN 2-903118-09-4. An important study by Jacqueline Lafargue, curator at the Maison de Victor Hugo, devoted to Victor Hugo’s graphic work. Numerous reproductions—including several in color—of drawings, wash drawings, and ink compositions, highlighting the writer’s extraordinary graphic inventiveness. A good copy; the dust jacket is scuffed and worn, with small tears and creases along the edges and flaps; the interior is well-preserved.
