L. 19th C. Japanese Porcelain Kannon on Foo Lion Kutani porcelain figure of Kannon riding a shishi, decorated in Famille Verte colors, she holds a ruyi scepter and has a serene expression on her face. The shishi or foo lion with open mouth and fierce expression, wards off evil spirits. Figure attached to stand. Approximate dimensions: 8 1/4 x 7 x 5 in.
