Fine KPM porcelain compote dating from the 19th century. The fluted circular bowl is delicately hand-painted with scattered floral sprigs and finished with a richly gilt border. It is supported by an elegant sculptural pedestal formed as three intertwined dolphins with finely modeled scales and gilt highlights, resting on a circular base with gilt accents. A graceful example of KPM's celebrated porcelain production, combining refined painting with sculptural Neoclassical design. Signed with the factory mark on the underside.
