Kodak No. 2 Folding Analogue camera

Up for auction: a classic, sturdy and fascinating vintage folding bellows medium-format camera—the No. 2 Folding Cartridge Hawk-Eye Model B—made in the United States by Eastman Kodak Co. in Rochester, New York, during the 1920s. The lot is presented in good overall condition, with normal signs of use and storage perfectly consistent with the object's age, and it is complete with its original optical block mounted on an extendable rail. Optics: The camera mounts its original fixed-focus single meniscus lens, integrated into the optical block. Mechanical: The lot appears mechanically functional. The integrated Kodex mechanical shutter responds correctly to manual controls via its lever, firing regularly at the set speeds. The front cover releases properly and the metal-strut system allows the bellows to extend to the working position. The lower cursor-type selector for manual aperture adjustment moves smoothly. Aesthetics: Overall good condition, as clearly documented by the photographs. The body retains its original black faux-leather covering with elegant geometric embossing along the edges of the shell. It shows the classic signs of time, very light surface scratches, and a historic patina along the outer metallic edges. International tracked shipping, fully insured, and professionally super-protective packing to ensure maximum safety during transport.
