About the series "Galaxy Advertising" In Galaxy Advertising, Kobalt invents a language that no one speaks — not even him. An improbable blend of weightless Cyrillic and Martian calligraphy vaguely Asian, this writing is supposed to be the most spoken in the neighboring galaxies… No point trying to translate it: it says nothing, yet it says it beautifully. A cosmic wink to a communication coming from very, very far away — or just from another imagination. Title: The Macallan - Darth Vader (Galaxy Advertising series) Fine Art Print on 300g cotton paper Dimension 70x50 cm New work, signed and numbered by the artist Edition number 16/50 Delivered with a signed certificate of authenticity For shipping, all works are protected with kraft paper and then shipped in sturdy tubes. Sent with insurance and tracking number. Biography: Kobalt, born in Paris in 1970, embodies the journey of a polymorphous artist whose creativity has unfolded from electronic music to contemporary graphic art. Coming from a family where art was already present thanks to his father, a designer, Kobalt discovers at a very young age his first passion, musical creation. This passion guides him in his youth, and his early talents lead him to make a bold decision: invest the money intended to fund his higher education to invest it in creating his first album. Distributed by EMI, the album does not meet the expected success, but it marks the beginning of a richly experimental artistic career. Alongside his musical career, Kobalt enters the world of advertising as a designer/writer for the iconic magazine Playboy. For many years, he brings his creativity to the publication by creating and directing the magazine’s advertising campaigns. The turning point in his career comes in 2005 when he becomes a cameraman, thus exploring a new facet of the visual world. In 2007, he discovers a passion for photography, adding another artistic string to his bow. In 2010, he successfully founds his own photo agency, highlighting his entrepreneurial spirit. In 2017, Kobalt makes a radical choice to sell his agency to fully embrace graphic art, influenced by his son, who has become a major figure in world street art. A pioneer of computer-assisted artistic creation, Kobalt stands out with more than 3,000 works sold in galleries and online to date. His artistic approach is marked by bold use of humor, provocation, and anachronisms, with a particular penchant for repurposing magazine covers, a style that makes him instantly recognizable. Despite the digital era, Kobalt has chosen to stay away from social networks, thus preserving a certain privacy. Today, he uses all available digital tools to bring his creations to life, continuing to push the boundaries of artistic expression with a subtle blend of inspiration, innovation, and humor.
