The antique silver knotting/wool basket is of the oval boat-shaped type, openwork with floral leaf and vertical bar motifs, has a wide flaring upper rim, stands on a raised foot, handle and base ring in a fine ribbed motif. Silver hallmarks: running lion + "old sword" (2nd grade silver, 833/1000) - Minerva head - year letter B 1836 - master silversmith’s mark.
