THE WORK “Golden Dom Pérignon” is a luminous, sumptuous piece with a strong visual impact, celebrating the meeting of two apparently distant icons: the building-block brick, universal symbol of play and childhood, and prestige champagne, the absolute emblem of luxury and celebration. Conceived as the ideal companion to “Classic Dom Pérignon,” it offers an even more precious interpretation, entirely immersed in golden light. At the center of the composition stands a monumental transparent-glass brick, with its characteristic raised studs, transformed into a precious container full of champagne. The liquid, threaded by countless bubbles, stops just below the rim in a slim crown of foam, while condensation droplets slowly slide down the cold glass walls. On the right side the iconic shield of the label stands out, here rendered in a refined gold version and adorned with vine tendrils, a star, and the vintage indication, as in the most celebrated cuvées. The result is a piece that seems to shine with its own light, like a trophy, like the memory of a night of celebration. The glass brick remains the heart of the idea: a container of memories and successes, a toast to all we have built, piece by piece. The greatest challenge was to maintain legibility of the forms in a nearly monochromatic composition, working on the nuances of gold, on the reflections in the glass, and on contrasts with the dark background. I selected EMA Fine Art paper because its wholly matte finish renders warm golds and deep blacks without any artificial reflections. The two versions can stand alone or converse side by side, like two glasses ready for a toast.
