The result is an impossible and irresistibly seductive object, suspended between dream and reality. At the center of the composition rises a monumental glass brick with transparent glass, with its characteristic raised studs, transformed into a precious container filled with golden champagne. The liquid, threaded by myriad bubbles, stops just below the upper rim in a thin crown of foam, while condensation droplets slowly descend along the cool glass walls. On the right side stands the iconic shield of the label, adorned with grapevines and a star, signing the piece with the unmistakable elegance of the great Champagne houses. I liked imagining an object capable of uniting these two moments of life: play and celebration, the carefree spirit of childhood and the taste for the beautiful things of adult life. The glass brick thus becomes a container of memories and successes, a toast to everything we have built, piece by piece. The biggest challenge was making the physics of an impossible object credible: the refractions of thick glass, the movement of the bubbles, the condensation droplets, and that golden light that seems to originate from the heart of the champagne. I selected EMA Fine Art paper because its totally matte finish faithfully renders warm golds and deep blacks without any artificial reflections.
