Kiri Aguilera (1982) - XL - Geometría Floral

Kiri Aguilera (1982) is a Cuban-born artist, currently based in Spain, whose work is distinguished by a sophisticated visual language where contemporary abstraction, poetic figuration, and gestural expressiveness converge. Trained in professional art schools, her career reveals a solid academic foundation manifested in mastery of drawing, composition, and the spatial construction of the canvas. On this technical framework, the artist has developed a distinctive, deeply recognizable style in which the line plays a leading role as a element of rhythm, tension, and visual narrative. Her acrylic-on-canvas production, entirely handmade, stands out for its vibrant chromatic richness and the presence of carefully balanced paint layers. Color, far from merely ornamental, acts as an emotional vehicle that transforms each work into a sensory, highly impactful experience. Within her thematic universe, female figures, floral compositions, and stylized animal representations stand out, elements she reinterprets through a language that oscillates between abstract synthesis and suggested figuration. Her large-format works — typically over 100 cm — are conceived for spaces with a strong aesthetic presence, creating a direct relationship with interior architecture and becoming authentic focal points within the environment. The subtlety of the stroke, the elegance of the lines, and the intensity of the color bring each piece a contemporary and highly decorative visual identity, without losing conceptual depth or artistic value. Kiri Aguilera’s work is especially appealing to collectors and lovers of contemporary art who seek original pieces with a strong visual presence, flawless technique, and a distinctive aesthetic. Each canvas conveys refined sensitivity, where gestural energy coexists with compositional harmony, yielding works of great sophistication, ideal for private collections as well as for curatorial spaces and high-end interior design projects. This acrylic-on-canvas work is a contemporary still life in semi-abstract style that reinterprets the classic floral arrangement through geometric shapes and expressive brushstrokes. The composition is articulated through several stylized vases from which emerge schematic leaves and flowers, balancing cool tones such as turquoise, navy blue, and gray with warm tones of ochre, terracotta, and gold. The flat, fragmented background incorporates gestural and textured brushstrokes that add tactile richness and visual dynamism, while dark outlines define the structure of the vegetation, creating an elegant play between modern abstraction and the organic form.
