Kiri Aguilera (1982) is a Cuban-born artist, currently based in Spain, whose work stands out for a sophisticated visual language where contemporary abstraction, poetic figuration, and gestural expressiveness converge. Trained in professional art schools, her career reveals a solid academic grounding that is evident in mastery of drawing, composition, and the spatial construction of the canvas. On this technical framework, the artist has developed a distinctive, highly recognizable style in which the line plays a leading role as a element of rhythm, tension, and visual narrative. Her acrylic-on-canvas production, entirely handmade, stands out for its vibrant chromatic richness and for the presence of carefully balanced pictorial layers. Color, far from being merely ornamental, acts as an emotional vehicle that transforms each work into a highly impactful sensory experience. Within her thematic universe, female figures, floral compositions, and stylized representations of animals stand out, elements that the artist reinterprets through a language that oscillates between abstract synthesis and suggested figuration. Her large-format works — usually exceeding 100 cm — are conceived for spaces with strong aesthetic presence, creating a direct relationship with interior architecture and becoming genuine focal points within the environment. The delicacy of the stroke, the elegance of the lines, and the intensity of color give each piece a contemporary, highly decorative visual identity, without losing conceptual depth or artistic value. Kiri Aguilera’s work is especially attractive to collectors and lovers of contemporary art who seek original pieces with strong visual presence, impeccable technique, and a distinctive aesthetic. Each canvas conveys refined sensitivity, where gestural energy coexists with compositional harmony, generating works of great sophistication, ideal for both private collections and curatorial spaces and high-end interior design projects. This acrylic-on-canvas work reinterprets the literary universe of Alice in Wonderland through a marked aesthetic of synthetic cubism and figurative pop art. In the center of the composition, the thoughtful figure of Alice wears her characteristic blue dress and white pinafore, fragmented into geometric planes, surrounded by iconic elements of the tale such as the White Rabbit holding a pocket watch, the Cheshire Cat observing from above with its enigmatic smile, teacups, stylized roses, and playing cards. The fine white contour lines structure the scene and delineate the saturated color blocks — dominated by cobalt blue, warm yellow, magenta, and black — achieving a vibrant atmosphere, full of fantasy and with a captivating geometric dynamism.
