Keramis Boch - Wall plate - Earthenware - Commemorative plate

This commemorative ceramic plate comes from the Belgian manufacture Boch Frères in La Louvière. It is a historical piece issued after World War II, featuring a sepia-colored transferware decoration. The central motif pays tribute to the children, military prisoners, political prisoners and deportees of the Charleroi-Nord section for the period from 1940 to 1945. The illustration shows prisoners of war in profile standing in front of a local church, with a small inscription indicating that the item was donated by the Saint-Eloi parish. Under the base, the piece bears the official circular stamp Boch Frères La Louvière Fabrication Belge Made in Belgium, as well as the shape mark 4 BK incised into the paste. The object has an individual and total weight of 600 g. Regarding its metric dimensions, the plate has a height of 3 cm and a total diameter of 26 cm. The piece is in excellent condition. The earthenware has retained all its original gloss, the printed design remains perfectly sharp and contrasted, and the overall shows no cracks, chips or noticeable signs of wear.
