Kara Gembloux - Cutlery set for 12 (103) - Steel

This cutlery set was made by the Belgian manufacturer KARA from Gembloux, the historic knife-making capital of Belgium. The engraving provides the following details about the material and origin: • KARA / KARAmassif: This is the brand name of the Belgian producer (sometimes also referred to as Kara Inox or Manubelge). • Gembloux - Belgium: Gembloux (in the province of Namur) has for decades been the beating heart of Belgian fine metalwork and knife manufacturing. Cutlery from Gembloux is known for its sturdy, solid quality. • 18/8N: This indicates the high-grade alloy of stainless steel (inox). The cutlery consists of 18% chromium (for rust protection) and 8% nickel (for the bright, silver-like shine). The N stands for the addition of nitrogen (nitrogenium), which at the time was used to make the steel even harder, stronger, and more scratch-resistant. Case contains: • 1 Soup spoon (large deep spoon in the upper left) • 1 Sauce spoon / Jus spoon (small deep spoon in the lower right) • 1 Large serving spoon / Vegetable spoon (wide spoon in the middle) • 1 Salad cutlery / Slalepel (the spoon with notches/teeth) • 1 Pie server (the flat scoop in the lower left) 12-piece set of knives, forks, spoons and dessert ware
