JP Art - Reaching Beyond

Reaching Beyond is a sculptural mixed-media artwork by JP Art, in which a human torso and a detached reaching hand protrude from the canvas. The weathered green, turquoise, and bronze tones give the relief the appearance of oxidized bronze. Because of the strong three-dimensional construction, the piece clearly changes with the light; especially the shadows of the body and the hand provide extra depth and movement. The open space between the figure and the hand forms an important part of the composition and gives the work a sense of distance, longing, and contact. The artwork is executed on canvas and measures 40 × 50 cm. The work is delivered with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist. The photos in interior settings are intended solely as mood impressions. Colors may differ slightly from the original work due to photography, lighting, and screen settings.
