Joseph-Paul Meslé (1855-1927). "Winter morning, snow and fog." He was a pupil of Léon Bonnat at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français and at the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts as well as at the Galerie Georges Petit in Paris. Museums: La Roche-sur-Yon, Montpellier, Paris (Musée d’Orsay), Pau, Reims, Rennes. This painting evokes some of Claude Monet’s snowy landscapes. Oil on panel. Framed. Signed at the lower left.
