José de Jesús No. 31 – Handmade Flamenco Guitar – León, Guanajuato, Mexico – 2022 Description Handmade Flamenco guitar built by the Mexican luthier José de Jesús, piece No. 31, manufactured in León, Guanajuato (Mexico) in 2022. This is an instrument of artisanal construction with a very characteristic aesthetic and a strong traditional character. The guitar features a glossy finish in a reddish hue, a back with a prominently grainy longitudinal figure, a perimetric purfling, and a carefully joined central seam. The headstock design is especially striking, with an ornamental silhouette that gives the instrument a lot of personality. It is fitted with a precise mechanical tuners, with gold details and black buttons. The construction shows numerous details typical of an instrument handmade by artisanal craft, including the work on the headstock, the junction of the neck with the body, and the overall finish of the instrument. On the top, a decorative traditional-inspired rosette stands out, while underneath the bridge the original protector is incorporated to prevent nails or strings from damaging the top surface during playing. Condition: The guitar is in good overall condition, with signs of use and wear typical of an instrument that has been handled. It presents some small cosmetic details visible in the photographs, so we recommend carefully reviewing all images before bidding. No relevant detail of the instrument has been hidden or removed in the photographs. An especially interesting piece for concert performers and collectors.
