John Young (British, 1930-2015) Offset Lithograph on Paper, Boeing

John Young offset lithograph titled "Boeing B-17E Fortress" and sub-titled Yankee Doodle en route to attack the marshalling yards at Rouen-Sotteville, 17th August 1942. The work depicts a B-17E bomber in flight above a cloud bank. This limited edition print is hand-numbered 588/850 in the lower-left margin. It is hand-signed by the artist in pencil John Young below the title. The margins are extensively inscribed with hand-written signatures and unit designations from numerous World War II multiple veterans on the upper and lower edges. A publisher's crest and embossed "LIMITED EDITION" seal are present in the lower margin. The print was published in 1978 by Blaze Fine Arts Ltd and printed by Beric Press Ltd, England, to benefit the Battle of Britain Museum/Royal Air Force Museum project. Housed in a wooden frame with a blue double mat under glass. Sight size: 18.75"W x 17.25"H. Dimensions: 25.25"W x 23.25"H Weight: 6.5 lbs. Condition Request Condition Report Good.
