The pressing was done in two separate phases: 1. The first pressing (2,000 copies): This was available directly at the release in March 1984 and was completely sold out in no time. These records typically weighed between 120 and 140 grams. 2. The second pressing (1,000 copies): Due to high demand, the record label Polydor decided to press additional copies. This later run of a thousand units is distinguished by the records being pressed on noticeably thicker and heavier vinyl (about 200 grams). Because there was no unique numbering printed on the sleeves or records at the time, today the two pressings are mainly distinguishable from each other by checking the weight of the vinyl. Expert believes a total to be more like 10,000 pressed
