Image size 47 1/4 x 31 3/4 in.; Frame dimensions 67 x 51 1/2 in. Private Collection, Virginia Joan Miró created Mannequin Parade in Istanbul as part of his celebrated series of large-scale color lithographs, combining expressive lines, abstract forms, and vivid colors. The composition's monumental scale and striking contrasts of red, pink, blue, yellow, and black exemplify Miró's ability to create a dynamic visual experience through the graphic medium. The 1969 work belongs to Miró’s Mannequin Parade series, which imagines whimsical fashion processions in locations around the world, including Istanbul, Bahia, and Ireland. Published by Maeght in Paris, this nearly four-foot-tall lithograph demonstrates the artist’s ambitious approach to printmaking.
