Joan Miró (after) - "Litographie I "(1972) - 1990s

Author: Joan Miró (1893-1983) Title: Litographie I (1972) Size: 80 x 60 cm Offset print made on thick 240g, high-quality paper. This is not a lithography. Displays a vivid and sharp image. Copyright: Joan Miró- by SIAE 1997 - Printed in Italy. New to frame. Shipping in a rigid tube via certified express mail. It is possible to collect more than one object, from the same auction, in the same shipment. Strong colors of reds, blues, and yellows in circles, splotches, and rectangles meet our gaze in this fascinating look into the imagination of Miró. As strong black outlines denote a rather interesting creature that's not quite human or animal, a jovial and carefree mood comes over us as we take in the creature's pleasure of its equally strange surroundings. Created in 1972, the original lithograph is one in a series of eleven lithographs created to illustrate the text by Michel Leiris. Hand-signed by Joan Miró (Barcelona, 1893 - Palma, 1983) in pencil in the lower right, this work is annotated H.C. (Hors de Commerce) in pencil in the lower left.
