Joan Miro (1893-1983) - Sala Pelaires

Joan Miró (1893–1983) Sala Pelaires, 1970 Avant-la-lettre lithograph on paper, corresponding to an artist's proof (AP) and signed in pencil by the artist. This is a proof reserved apart from the commercial edition, giving it a particularly singular character within the graphic production of the work. The composition fully fits Miró's mature language in the late sixties and early seventies, with his characteristic symbolic universe: free signs, balance between gesture and empty space, and a visual poetics where line and color function as autonomous elements of expression. Measurements (unmatted): 76 × 56 cm. A piece of notable interest for its avant-la-lettre status and its AP condition, especially appealing to collectors and scholars of Joan Miró's graphic work. Edition of 75 color lithographs on Guarro with Mourlot reference number 684. It is also listed in Sala Gaspar's 1975 catalog under number 0117. With watermark. Excellent overall condition, with signs of age.
